Description

Originally from the Persian Empire, saffron is a spice derived from the flower of the Crocus sativus plant. Each flower bears three stigmas. These stigmas are dried and used as a spice in cooking and baking. A carotenoid dye allows saffron to impart a golden yellow color to a food dish. In Iran, farmers don't use chemical materials for cultivation. Therefore, our Sargol saffron has no synthetic pesticides, preservatives, food additives or colorings.

The Saffron came in the same package so it too arrived quickly. This will be a new experience since I have never used it before. I'm excited to try it.
