The perfect drink on a cool fall day. Warm Vanilla Apple Cider is a sure hit for the entire family.
Ingredients
6 cups apple cider 2 vanilla beans (preferably Organic Indonesian) 2 tbsp brown sugar (1-1/2 tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 tbsp vanilla sugar) 2 Whole nutmeg seeds 6 oz. Bourbon (optional) Whipped Cream
Preparation
In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients. Gently simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and discard solids. Divide among 6 heatproof glasses and top with with a dollop of whipped cream.
This recipe is easily customized to showcase any of your favorite fall flavors by simply adding the spices at the simmering process. This treat is also excellent when paired with homemade vanilla ice cream!
