   It amazes me the number of people that felt this jar was too large for its assigned task, when the item description CLEARLY states its exact size and dimensions. People need to take responsibility for what they purchase. Next time check the size BEFORE you make a purchase. This is a gorgeous bottle with a firm tight seal (which I believe will last) and its perfect for its task. Thanks Beanilla for this wonderful find.

   I purchased this jar to contain the beans I ordered. The lid fits a little loosely, but I kept the beans in a zip lock baggie to keep them air tight, inside the jar.

   The jar is quite a bit larger than you will need for 25 vanilla beans. It will easily fit a pound of vanilla beans though. Height is perfect for the beans, but size around was bigger than I'd anticipated for my uses. Creates a good seal and stores the beans well. My only real issue with the jar is the plastic seal around the top of the jar. Rather than a solid plastic piece to create the seal (like you find in some canisters), it is two thin pieces of plastic meant to be flexible as you remove/replace the lid. I think the design is a bit flawed, as it does create a seal for now, but I think repeated removal of the lid will cause these pieces of plastic to break eventually.

   It's taller than I anticipated but it probably said the dimensions and I neglected to look carefully, so bigger than I needed or wanted but who knows, maybe I'll just buy more vanilla beans.

    It's hard to find a sealed jar that's tall enough for vanilla beans, so I'm happy to own this one. I searched for one with dark glass (since it's best not to expose vanilla beans to light) to no avail. This jar will serve its purpose adequately, but I was a bit disappointed in the quality, especially for the price; it's thin and has visible flaws (bubbles, a nick/rough spot on the outside). It is made in China. Nicely packed in a snug cardboard box; however that box was housed in a much larger box filled with packing peanuts (not eco-friendly).

    I received my order very quickly and was very happy with the packaging. It's a pretty jar and I'm sure the beans will look very nice in them.I haven't had a chance to use it yet because I already used all the beans I bought! Maybe that means I should order some more beans :-)

    I've just purchased 2- 33 oz. jars for my 1/2 lb. of vanilla beans. They look so good, that I'm going to show them off on my counter top instead of putting them in the cupboard . I took off the label from the bean package and put it onto one of the jars and it looks great! Just like at the stores. Great way to store your vanilla beans!!!

    The jar has a great seal and my leftover beans are staying nice inside of it. The moistness of the beans is collecting in the bottom of the jar. I will scrape it out, when the beans are gone and add it to a recipe.

    This looks very nice on the counter. It's quite tall and the beans are comparatively short though. Perhaps a different type of bean is taller.

    Great to finally be able to have fresh fragrant vanilla beans! I live in a remote area in which grocery stores do not carry anything but dry beans in a jar. UGH! These will be a great improvement in my vanilla ice cream.

    I recently ordered two of the Vanilla Bean Storage Jars, one for me and one for my sister. Unfortunately, one of the jars had a chip on the lip. I called Beanilla and left a voicemail explaining that one storage jar was chipped. Within 20 minutes a cheerful and helpful young lady responded to my voicemail message. She assured me that Beanilla holds a high standard of quality and apologized for the condition of the jar I had received. I offered to return it and hoped to receive another in exchange. She said that wasn't necessary and that a replacement storage jar would be shipped to me immediately. Thank you Beanilla for your customer service the rare and immediate response.     I ordered three jars for the three types of vanilla beans I purchased. They came very quickly and were packaged well; no breakage. One of the jars has a flaw in the glass lid that looked like a large crack but upon further investigation was just a flaw. The walls of the jars seem a bit thin for the tight fitting lid. Each jar could hold a couple hundred beans.

    I have found similar jars at a cheaper price, but none of them had the airtight seal to keep the vanilla beans nice and moist. This jar is perfect for its purpose.

    The jar is a great idea for storing vanilla beans. It really is air-tight. Unfortunately, the jar is far taller than it needs to be - considerably taller than the beans. We kept it because we didn't want to go to the trouble of returning something glass. Scale the product down some and we would give it 5 Stars!

    Originally thought this was a great option. Even gave it a good review when asked for one upon receipt of purchase. "Great storage option if you have many beans that need to be kept in a proper airtight glass container". It's been 6 months now. All my beans are dried out! As another reviewer noted, this jar seal, on close inspection, has notches in the seal that ALLOW AIR IN!!!
