Homemade Kahlua makes the perfect gift and will surely be a big hit! Make this liqueur around the holidays, to give as gifts, to use in baking, in desserts, and for your own enjoyment. But if you want to use it during the Christmas holidays, start in early November. So lets get brewing...

Ingredients
1 Beanilla™ Vanilla Bean, approximately 3" long (or halved) 4 cups sugar 2 cups boiling water 3 ounces instant coffee powder or ganules 1 (750-milliliter) bottle of vodka
Preparation
- Place Beanilla™ Vanilla Bean in clean half gallon jar that has a tight lid
- Mix sugar and coffee granules into saucepan of boiling water
- Pour into jar and tighten cap
- Shake well then add vodka to the mix
- Set aside in a cool, dark place at least one month
Tips
You can always double the recipe and store for a good two months You can also bottle the Kahlua in pretty wine-type bottles that make for perfect gifts
